The first drop
Two pieces, made before they were named.
Every KOTA piece begins on a handloom, not a production line. Available in three colourways.
Handloom weaving in progress
Made, not manufactured

Every KOTA piece starts on a loom, in someone's hands, before it ever reaches a rack.

KOTA is the name of a city in India — and the idea we brought to Amsterdam. We are a social-impact brand first: every sale sends a direct, definite share back to the women artisans in India who make the bags, accessories and shirts we sell. No vague pledges, no round-ups at checkout.

The flagship — Amsterdam
Chai, poured like cocktails.

KOTA builds its community in person. At our Amsterdam flagship, artisanal chai is made and served across a communal bar — closer to a cocktail bar than a coffee counter — where the seating is shared and the conversation is the point.

2%

Two percent of every order trains the hands that make the next one.

Every KOTA piece is made by hand. Two percent of every order funds tailoring and vocational training for women artisans in India, in the same communities where KOTA is made — turning one order into someone else's next skill.
